John Gam, Psychologist

John received his BA degree from Bethel University in Tennessee and a M.Div degree from Memphis Theological Seminary. He completed a clinical pastoral education externship with the Memphis Institute of Medicine and Religion and was a mental health chaplain with the state of Tennessee prior to earning his MA and PhD degrees in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University. He fulfilled his clinical internship at the University of Alabama School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. Since 1980 he has been licensed and practicing actively in clinical psychology with the adult/geriatric population in the Auburn/Opelika area. His work, in addition to individual/marital therapy, includes treatment of a variety of emotional disorders as well as competency evaluations and memory/cognitive Assessment. He does psychology consults at the East Alabama Medical Center. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and The Alabama Psychological Association. John is married. He has two children and two toddling grandchildren. He and his wife attend Presbyterian Church USA in Auburn.
